Jjays St Lucia

This beautiful mare bred by Jacquie Johnson at Jjays Coloured Collection is an exciting purchase here. She is joint owned by us and our daughter and young event rider, Isabella Jones. She has started with a ridden career and is working towards her Grading and Performance testing before we decide when we might use her for our breeding programme.

She is by the stunning Houdini at Little Uncle who I was lucky enough to see attend his performance test. Such wonderful paces and a really gentle temperament. Here’s hoping we can do him and Lucy’s breeder proud.

Lucy herself was inspected by the ZfdP as a foal and awarded Premium status. Her sire, Houdini is Triple Premium Graded and Performance tested, he received 9’s for his walk and canter and has produced many high scoring offspring. Lucy’s Dam, Havourneen is a Verband Performance tested pure bred Trakhener mare imported from Germany and a Graded and approved outcross for the KNN and her dam line has produced numerous St, pr mares and top competition horses competing across the disciplines Dr, SJ and eventing up to 1.40m as well as CCI3*

Isabella has done a fantastic job bringing her on and they are building an incredible partnership together. They are definitely a pair to watch.
